FARMHANDS stands for Functional Assets Required to Make Highly Available Nontrivial Distributed Systems. FARMHANDS is a research project developed by MADS Group, supported and funded by MEyC TIN2005-08986 (Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia, Spain) and XUGA PGIDIT06 PXIC105164PN (Xunta de Galicia, Spain).
The project main goal is to overcome some lacks of the functional paradigm in order to develop systems with a high level of concurrency.
