I have been working for LambdaStream since January 2004.
As a researcher, I started as a grant holder in the LFCIA lab before being signed by LambdaStream. Now, I am a member of the MADS research group.
Most of my work focuses on digital video streaming and coding techniques. At this moment, I am researching things like logo insertion in DCT-compressed video, seamless splicing, VCR capabilities, streaming over IP networks, and other similar topics.
As a developer, I am interested in functional and concurrent programming, distributed systems, and design patterns. My favourite language is Erlang. Nevertheless, since I usually have to deal with high rate, raw binary data, I am forced to use C more than I would like to.
